  13. me 2 and for street the 50mm is perfect (on a full frame)
i got the 1.4 but if i could go back i would get the 1.8g because i almost never take it to 1.4

  14. GigantGatlingGun

hmm ok thanks yh i have the standard 18-55 its not to bad at close ups 😛 ill use that for the time being.. and get a 50mm for my street.. i love street 😛

  15. i have a nikon 50mm 1.4g lens and its not good for macro,
only way to do macro is by cropping.

i also have a 28-85 lens which has a macro mode on it. you can buy them for around €80 second hand.

  16. GigantGatlingGun

cos some 50mm lens says macro on them

  17. 50mm is not good for macro, its the best for street photography

  18. GigantGatlingGun

  20. AnimalExplorer

Oops! I just read the comments, seems this topic has been mentioned already. My apologies. 🙂

  21. AnimalExplorer

You say 1.8 is a nice small aperature. You also say let’s try something really small 2.5 ? Isn’t that considered a large aperature, but a low number? Small aperatures to me would be higher numbers, the higher you go the smaller the aperature verses the lower you go the bigger/wider the aperature.

  22. he looks at a watch that he doesn’t have

  23. Can you give some more information about the equipment you’re using. 50mm (f/ 1.2, 1.4, 1.8?) Also, what body are you using there? Thanks!
